Radio News for Friday and the Weekend of January 30th 2009

Radio Headlines:

Quick Commentary:

So Emmis Communications Chairman & CEO Jeff Smulyan believes that impending weather conditions are a clincher for cell phone manufacturers to build radio into cell phones. Nice idea. Too bad most radio markets these days don’t have the local talent on the air to let the listeners know about said impending weather. It’s the tail wagging the dog. Good luck with the nationally syndicated host or voice tracker telling the folks in Duluth about the twister on the way.
